About Us

Nottingham and Notts Elders' Forum was established with the goal to improve the lives of older people throughout Nottinghamshire.

Founded in 2005, the charity was formed so that a voice could be given to the older population. Now, fifteen years on, the Forum has over a thousand members and continues to grow.

Our Vision

To work with older people to allow them to share their views, raise concerns, scrutinise policies and services in areas such as:

Can we help?

Are you an older person living in Nottingham or Nottinghamshire?

Are there issues bothering you in your community?

If so, the Nottingham Elders' Forum may be able to help!

Please get in touch with us to discuss how we might be able to help you.

The Way Forward

All of the work we do underpins our strategy, 'The Way Forward'. We endeavour to build a society for all ages that empowers and engages older people.

Working with the latest evidence available from official government figures and research conducted by independent bodies, the Forum has an expansive understanding and appreciation of the scenario in respect of the elderly. Because of this, we believe that our organisation successfully represents those aged over 50. Predominantly our strategy is concerned with representing this demographic on a local level, although our work has a tendency to reach regional and national level when policy decision may affect the elderly to this extent.
