Nottingham and Notts Elders' Forum
Welcome to the Nottingham and Notts Elders' Forum
Working to Improve the Lives of Older People in Nottinghamshire
The Nottingham and Notts Elders’ Forum is a non-political, proactive and independent voluntary organisation that endeavours to confront and challenge policies that adversely affect the elderly.
Formed in 2005, we aim to create a mechanism that ensures that the voices of older people are heard, and their needs and aspirations are acted upon, when decisions are being made about current and future services that affect them.
The Forum is not affiliated or financed by any other organisation, council or government body, and as it does not charge older people to be members, has to find various means of funding which is especially hard in today's financial climate.
Take a look at the Elders' Echo to find out what's on our mind, as well as to keep up with the latest developments within the Forum.
Picnic at Rutland Water Nature Reserve - 23 July 2019
A glorious way to spend the summer afternoon, on the Rutland Water beach. The water fowl and boats sailing by is a sight to see.
Luncheon Club - 01 August 2019
Every month we put on a Luncheon Club for our members. To find out where it is being held in a specific month, check out the monthly calendars.
Oakham and Standford - 12 August 2019
The chance to visit two lovely historic English towns. Wonder through Oakham's Market Place and find out why Royalty and Nobility have been nringing Horshshoes to hand on the castle walls for centuries. Then onto Stamford, where many period dramas have been filmed due to its magnificent architecture.
