Once again apologies for having to cancel the Feb meeting at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances. It is important that you book for the meeting however, both for the catering and in case we have to contact you regarding it.

WINTER WARMER CRUISE - 25th

Come along with us for a fully heated cruise and experience the River Trent in all its seasonal glory. This trip includes a traditional roast dinner with hand carved roast beef or chicken breast. Three seasonable vegetables plus roast and new potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and the chefs rich gravy. This is all followed by hot apple pie and custard and tea or coffee. All the meals are served for you at the table, so lets blow away the cobwebs and climb aboard.

SKEGNESSS - 8th

Old favourite trip to the sea side, as it’s not a lengthy journey to get to our destination, the area is flat so is great if your ability at walking isn’t the best, although it is very easy to hire a buggy either before you go, or when you are at your destination. Another great plus for Skeggy, you can now actually see the sea!! And yet another plus, the fish and chips are some of the best on the East Coast.

NARROWBOAT TRIP & PICNIC - 2nd

This great trip is back again through popular demand and with the relaxed atmosphere as we gently move along the river with all the wildlife and the wonderful scenery, it just can’t be beaten. Your cares float away into oblivion for a while. All the picnic is fresh and homemade and we vacate the boat at a lovely venue to partake of it. There are limited places on the narrowboat, so it is a good idea to book well in advance to prevent disappointment.

FANTASTIC GARDEN PARTY - 13th

Once again, Beth and Jeff have volunteered to host a garden party in their wonderful prizewinning garden. There can’t be a more superb setting in which to enjoy a lazy summer afternoon with sweet music, great food and of course the company of friends. ARMED FORCES DAY - 27th

This will be a very different type of event with the emphasis generally on the period immediately after WWII with music, food and hopefully everyone joining in the fun. We would encourage people to try and dress in clothing of that period if at all possible and we will attempt to get some representatives from the Armed Forces there on the day.

WISBECH ROSE FAIR - 6th

This superb festival is always eagerly awaited, with a wonderful atmosphere and fantastic flower displays throughout. This is a lovely event especially for those who have difficulty with their mobility, as the coach stops just outside We stop at the Sacrewell Farm Centre for a coffee and break on the way, and aim for the two o-clock Rose Parade, where you are showered with rose petals.
