August 10th - Whitby Regatta. Come along with us and enjoy a fantastic day at Whitby whilst the annual regatta races takes place. Along with all the wonderful big ships etc., there are day long activities with street artists, competitions, stalls walking floats and just about everything you need to make an outstanding day out. August 16th - Car Boot Sale, Colwick. Come and get your bags full of bargains from our Eric at Colwick. All quality stuff. No tatt. If heavy rain 23rd Aug.

August 18th – Buxton. Have a nice easy day calling at Peak Village on your way to the delightful old town of Buxton. Stroll along the old streets and gardens, or join the dancers in a twirl around the grand ballroom of the Pavilion. The choice is yours, as there is always plenty to see and do at Buxton. Price: £13.50

August 20th - Fascinating walk with James of City Centre architectural masterpieces created by the famous Watson Fothergill. James has excellent information packs he has produced for this walk, and exclusive entrances to some of these buildings. Approximately 2 1/2 hrs, starting 10.30. Collect your FREE tickets from the office.

August 27th - Stratford on Avon. Today we visit the haunts of the famous writer William Shakespeare, with the magnificent black and white Tudor buildings, the famous Globe Theatre and of course the many boats sailing on the glorious river Avon, where you can take a leisurely sail on, or sit and eat a picnic on the banks whilst watching the regal swans gliding by.
